Ten Mistakes!

The day began like any other. I’d started to get ready for school when I turned on the radio. The announcer said that the Wall was down. I couldn’t help WONDERING if I was dreaming, it was so unbelievable. I thought I’d better hurry to school to see what was happening. In the school playground, everyone seemed to be very happy and excited. Then the head teacher came out. He said he wanted US TO join in the celebrations and so would let us HAVE the whole day off school.
My friends and I decided to go immediately to Checkpoint Charlie, the main crossing point from East to West Berlin. We were keen ON welcoming the people arriving from the East. When we arrived, everything was in chaos. We saw young people, old people, friends, and strangers laughing and hugging each other. The first cars from East Berlin started arriving and people were clapping, cheering, and throwing flowers. At first the borders guards attempted TO CONTROL the flow of cars but soon gave up trying because there were so many, and instead joined in dancing. After a while they didn’t prevent people FROM CLIMBING the Wall either. Soon the people at the top were helping others to clamber up – me and my friends among them – and we all carried on DANCING. Someone lent us a hammer and suggested THAT WE KNOCKED chunks of concrete off the wall. I remember WAVING to the East German guards in their watchtowers and they waved back. Only yesterday they would have been ordered TO shoot us! What a day. I shall never forget it.

Discussion 5: Euthanasia & Law

Euthanasia is the practice of procuring the death in the most painless, quick and bloodless as possible to a human (or animal) suffering from an incurable disease and in order to terminate its sufference.There are different views abouti it. To favor: Choice, Quality of life;
And there are several reasons against voluntary euthanasia: Morale; Want family; religious.
In Italy there is not a law that allows Eutanasia and it is considered as crime, as a murder , as a way to kill someone.

Discussion 4: Barck Obama and lawyers into politics

I think the law is part of politic.For this reason many lawyers and judges come into politic.POlitic must enact laws, then only who have the qualities to do so should be able to do in a correct way . My hope is this: that politicians are qualified people interested in the common good and not so often as concerned with their pleasures.S hope that Barack Obama is like my descriction

Discussion 3:Lord Denning

Long denning served as a judge for nearly 40 years, from 1944 to 1982. He often played a decisive role in developing thelaw and was influential around the Commonwealth and common law world.Lord Denning became the one judicial figure everybody had heard of. During his 20 years as Master of the Rolls, he could choose his own cases and the judges who were to sit with him. So on most issues, he effectively had the last word. Not many cases went on to the House of Lords, Britain's highest court of law.

Lord Denning was perhaps the greatest law-making judge of the century and the most controversial. His achievement was to shape the common law according to his own highly individual vision of society.

Discussion 2:Pronunciation & Phonetics

To improve your pronunciation is useful to hear your teacher, being native, to speak.
because we are not accustomed to phonetic symbols, we may find many difficulties to understand them.

Discussion 1:Cinema & English language learning

I do not really like to go to the movies, even if sometimes I go the same with my friends. I have never seen the film in English, although I believe it is a very useful way to learn new words and improve their vocabulary and ascolto.So you would also improve your pronunciation, listening someone also speaking in their own languagge.Another way for a better film, would be the introduction of subtitles.
